This is a great track by some serious UK MCs produced by DJ Premier.  The beat is sick and of course thats very important but the lyricists are dope too.  Plus you can pick this up for less than a big bottle of Bulmers.  Seriously though this is dope and so are the other track from their upcoming album; Silent Flight and Old Earth.  The album drops on February 12th and is called Natural Order.  You can get all the currently available joints from the groups Band Camp page here   The group is made up Verb T, Fliptrix, Leaf Dog and BVA MC.  Verb T should be a known name to Uk heads for the dope work he has done with Harry Love in the past but the others are new to me but certainly worth keep an eye .

Homework Volume 1: Birthday Beats by DJ Harry Love My man DJ Harry Love has been producing classic Hip-Hop joints for a number of years now featuring some of the UK's finest lyricists; Verb T, Ransom Badbonez and Jehst to name a few.  He has just released a new compilation via Bandcamp called Homeworkwork Volume 1:Birthday Beats.  It os ten tracks long and can be bought from Bandcamp for as little as £3 although listening to it will surely prompt you to make a more generous donation.  Its a dope little project with some interesting beats and rhymes.  Hopefully the first in a series of compilations from one of London's finest.  Pick that shit up y'all.

My man Jabbathakut has released his first album on his own label, Infekshus Records and its 25 tracks of dope UK Hip Hop that requires immediate listening. The album features a whole heap of sick UK underground artists including; Stig of the Dump, Swift, Mr Thing, Mikey T, Wordsmith, Genesis Elijah, Lyrical T, Supar Nova amongst many others. Jabbathakut handles the production duties as well as the majority of the cutting & scratching and he demonstrates some serious skills behind the boards and on the decks. Whether it be soul tinged Supar Nova joint "All alone" or the bangin' LDZ and Stig of the dump joint "Tear da roof off" which gets extra points for being the only hip hop song I've ever heard use the line "Maybe I'm just crackers, I'll kick you in the knackers" the beat is sick and the lyrics match it perfectly. Rodney is back this time with his contribution to the forthcoming Ninja Tune XX twentieth anniversary celebrations. It's a brand new tune entitled 'It's On'. It's a dope track and RM shot a video for it, too. Returning to Dungeness (where the cover images for the 'Run Come Save Me' campaign were shot), Rodders wanders about in suit and glasses referencing Ingmar Bergman, Malcolm X, live manga and a nice sports car.

Last night was the last Gullyvers until September and its was a wicked night all round. The evening started off with a dope set from Diablo. Then MK killed it with a selection featuring Gang Starr, Busta Rhymes, OC, Eurythmics and the Clash. A-Cyde followed up MK's set with a more mellow set that still kept things moving nicely. Roots Manuva kept the evening lively with some dope emceeing. Great music and a good atmosphere. I saw a lot of people I haven't seen in a long time and had a good night. Props to MK, A-Cyde, Diablo and Roots Manuva for putting on a good night. A shout out to Maxillion, Harry Love, Mr Lawson, Francis, Supa T and everyone else in the place. To those that didn't make it you missed out.

The first single from the new Roots Manuva album drops at the end of June and the above video for it has just hit the web. The video is very funny and well worth checking out. The tune is an upbeat almost dancehall style track that has Rodney offering a girl incentives to get with her.
